A single SDS network be connected to multiple active directory (AD) domains. However, if an AD domain is implemented using multiple AD domain controllers—which is common to enhance reliability and capacity—the SDS network can connect to only one of them.
The following conditions apply:
The MiVoice Business IDS application can support connections from multiple MiVoice Business contact points within a single SDS network to multiple different AD domains.
The AD domain controllers can be in the same AD forest or in different AD forests.
A single MiVoice Business IDS contact point within an SDS network should not be connected to domains in different AD forests. However, different MiVoice Business IDS contact points within an SDS network can be connected to domains in different AD forests.
To support Global Catalog searches, an MiVoice Business IDS contact point within an SDS network can be connected to only one AD forest. However, different MiVoice Business IDS contact points within an SDS network can be connected to different AD forests.
